UA Board of Regents (BOR) to hold a special governance committee meeting Dec. 9 The University of Alaska Board of Regents' Governance Committee will hold a special meeting via video 12:30-1:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 9, 2019, to discuss the process for the board's policy audit and to review its 2020 work plan (). The board will take up the work plan and a possible tuition increase at its Jan. 17, 2020 meeting.
The recommendation to audit existing Board of Regents' policies resulted from a workshop held on Nov. 7, 2019.

BOR transmits reports to the Legislature and the governor The Board of Regents also transmitted its response to legislative intent that it consider a plan to transition the university from three separately accredited institutions into a single accredited institution. Mike Dunleavy on the university's progress toward meeting the terms of the Aug. 13 compact that reduced the university's budget cut from $136 million in one fiscal year to $70 million over three fiscal years.
