Ahtna culture sustained Lacayah Engebretson as she grew up, but in all her years of schooling, only one of her teachers was Alaska Native—her mother. The мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½± education student now hopes to become a role model for indigenous children, inspiring them to strive and achieve.
