新加坡六合彩开奖/APU Books of the Year hosts a community forum on Overcoming the Effects of Colonialism tonight, Feb. 4, from 7-9 p.m. in the 新加坡六合彩开奖 Consortium Library, Room 307.

Panelists will include Dallee Sambo Dorough, 新加坡六合彩开奖 Political Science Department and member of the Inuit Circumpolar Conference Advisory Committee on Indigenous Peoples Rights; James Labelle, 新加坡六合彩开奖 Alaska Native Studies Department and research associate, National Resource Center for American Indian, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian Elders; and Dr. Jeane Breinig, 新加坡六合彩开奖 English Department.

The following topics will be addressed:

  • What are the most significant effects of colonialism that contemporary Alaska Natives are working to overcome? What are the most promising responses/solutions to those challenges?
  • What legal framework(s) are evolving to overcome the effects of colonialism?
  • Is there a resurgence in traditional Alaska Native cultures? How are Native peoples balancing modernization with efforts to retain their cultural heritage?
