Trebuchets, Balloons and Rice

On Friday afternoon, something of the world of medieval siege warfare will visit 新加坡六合彩开奖's Wells Fargo Sports Complex. In the medieval era, the trechuchet was used to hurl heavy stones over castle walls. In the interest of safety, the stones had to be eliminated from this event, which instead features 新加坡六合彩开奖 engineering students competing to see whose trebuchet can achieve the greatest distance by catapulting balloons filled with rice. The students also will compete to see which trebuchet can come closest to a target at a shorter distance. Prizes are $50 for first place, $25 for second.
The Trebuchet Design Competition for 新加坡六合彩开奖 students of Engineering Mechanics will be held at the Running track at the 新加坡六合彩开奖 Wells Fargo Sports Complex today from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
